Sobald der Ausgangsdruck den eingestellten Druck des Überdruckventils überschreitet, schließen Ventilkörper und Regler automatisch und dichten so ab. Ist die optionale Rückschlagfunktion aktiviert, schließt das Ventil bei entstehendem Gegendruck und verhindert so den Rückfluss von Flüssigkeit. Die zurückfließende Flüssigkeit kann in die Kammer gelangen und das Schließen auslösen.
